Making basket objects is my favorite art medium. The basket form is universal, and it gives me freedom to investigate form, structure, texture …. and the magic of nature.
The textile works touch upon issues surrounding colour, shape and three-dimensionality. Colour is added with a technique where colour pigments are floating in the water during dyeing.

Directions visualizes in my mind through forms, colours and lines. Lines are drawn with different kinds of crayons on a piece of paper. Ground colours and their complements are used as starters.
