Catch a glimpse of a sudden gesture and follow the paths further in, until you walk in someone´s footprints. See a wild animal nearby or listen to dripping water. Try to tell a story from a loom, an event, a theme or just a hint of awareness and chose colors with care and trust.
How can I describe my feelings, worry and sadness in this complex world while I have threads in my hand and mind? It´s a difficult question of course, but as soon I´ll start with the project, everything becomes quite clear to me and I also realize that art can play an important role in society.
Maybe it´s all about speaking out loud in bright red and blue or talk in a whisper in white and grey.
My textileworks are in different techniques, tapestries, felting and sometimes embroideries.
In the loom I often work by instinct, without any sketches. With that manner, it feels like I come closer to my intention I had in the beginning of the process.
