Time, memories and everyday experiences shape our lives. The motives of my art are inspired by my own day-to-day life. Everyday events that concern the recognition and the connection between the small world and the big world – between the personal and the universal. It is a study of the trivial that fills a great part of our being, our subsistence.

The expression of the material and the technique plays an essential part in my artworks. For me textile art is seminal and contemporary.

I have noticed that the observers are often drawn to my works in order to have a closer look at the material or the craftsmanship. There is often a desire to touch the textile. Sometimes the curious person can be rewarded with sounds or singing if the artworks are touched. I aspire to find an artistic expression that awakens curiosity and contemplation.
