Frida Åström is a Textile Artist born in Skellefteå, Sweden now based in Gothenburg.

Åström spent their Master Studies at HDK-Valand developing a method combining digital 3D-modelling and traditional hand stitching to create sculptures.

By using references to historical still life paintings and current events Åström creates allegories that speak of the human condition and the time we live in.

Åström also uses tarot cards and studies of other ockult traditions as an inspiration and method of storytelling.
