I use a technique which I have developed myself to sew the portraits. It is a long process but shortly said I start from a photo and manipulate it to the desired expression on my computer. Using this "pattern" I cut fabric by hand in various colors (only single-colored), and sew it layer on layer on a regular sewing machine until I think the picture is complete. I always mount my portraits on wooden stretchers and put a rubber frame on.

Earlier I worked in psychiatry as a registered nurse. In 2020 I graduated as a Bachelor in Textile-design, -handicraft and -communication but as a textile artist I am autodidact.

In 2014 I wrote and published a book about the technique “sy portrætter” (“Sew Portraits”). The book is only published in Danish language.
